Useful Contacts for Technical Support
If you are having difficulties accessing the web pages or your e-mail, you may find some of these useful contacts:
Difficulty accessing the member only areas
The most common cause of problems accessing these pages is due to an invalid password. A valid password will be supplied to members of the ITPA who contact the Registrar.
Problems with other pages on the site
If you have difficulty with other pages, you should contact the Registrar, and ensure you include the following information:
  • The type of computer you are using (Windows, Windows 95, Macintosh, etc)
  • The web browser you are using
  • The name of your Internet service provider
  • The page that you were trying to access on the web site
  • The error message that you received
Difficulty connecting to the site
If your web browser times out when trying to access the web server, the most likely cause is a problem on the Internet between you and the server. In the first instance, you should contact your Internet service provider, who will usually be able to investigate for you.
Where it appears that you are able to access all other sites, but are unable to access either the ITPA mail server or the ITPA web site, there may be a problem with the systems. If you suspect that this is the case, then you should contact the Systems Administrator.
Configuration problems
Configuration problems other than those directly related to retrieving e-mail from the ITPA mail server should be referred to your Internet provider. Instructions for setting up e-mail are available here, and on request from the Registrar's office.
