The search facility
is very easy to use. The search engine will display its results with a
direct link to the document where it has found your word or
expression.
Type in your word or expression in the box
labelled 'search:' It can be anything e.g. OECD or treaty
shopping etc. In the first box labelled 'Match' you
can select three types of matching from the drop-down list. Choose
'All' to match all words. Choose 'Any' to match any word. Choose
'Boolean' to initiate a complex search. Examples of correct Boolean
expressions (typed in the 'Search' box) are: cat and dog, cat
not dog, cat or (dog not nose). Note that
the operator not has the meaning of 'without'. In
the next box labelled 'Format' you may choose either 'Long' or 'Short'
from the drop-down list. Choose 'Long' if you want to see the title of
the summary and relevant paragraphs in the Search results. Choose
'Short' if you only want to display the titles of the summaries. In
the box labelled 'Sort by' choose from the drop-down list how you want
the results to be displayed. Choose 'Score' if you want to display
results according to what the search engine determines is closest to
what you are looking for. Choose 'Time' to display results in
chronological order of when the summaries were added to the website.
